Who is Voiceless

Voiceless Directors jointly oversee the activities of the organisation. Drawn from a range of diverse backgrounds and experiences, Directors are united by their belief in animal protection and work collectively to guide the development of Voiceless.

Ondine Sherman

Ondine Sherman is the Managing Director and Co-founder of Voiceless in partnership with her father Brian Sherman AM. Ondine is also founder of Voiceless sister-project, Franimals.org, to foster the next generation of animal advocates.

She holds a BA in Communications from UTS and MA in Environmental Education from Macquarie University.

Ondine has been profiled on numerous occasions including: the Sydney Morning Herald's Good Weekend Magazine; The Age; Margaret Throsby - ABC Classic FM; Richard Aedy - ABC Radio National, Sunday Profile; ABC TV's Australian Story, The Australian Financial Review Magazine, and The Weekend Australian Magazine's Double Take.

In 2013 she edited the Voiceless Anthology, published by ALlen & Unwin, with J.M. Coetzee, Dr Wendy Were and Susan Wyndham.

In 2012 she was nominated by Cosmopolitan for their "Fun, Fearless, Female" Award.

In 2011 she presented the Occasional Address for Macquarie University graduates.

In 2009 she was nominated by News Limited and Microsoft as one of Australia's top 10 Community Leaders.

Since 2012, with her husband, three children, two dogs and a crazy cat, Ondine lives in Tel-Aviv, Israel.

Ondine's memoir chronicling her journey with her twin boys with special-needs, The Miracle of Love, was published by Allen & Unwin in May 2013.

Ondine is an Ambassador for Australia for Dolphins and a Director of Israeli organisation, Kesher, supporting families with special-needs children.
