Voiceless, the animal protection institute, has awarded major grants and media prizes at its annual Voiceless Awards, in honour of the animal protection movement in Australia.
Journalists from SBS, News Corp’s The Weekend Australian Magazine and The Guardian took out the top prizes at the Voiceless Media Prizes, awarded $5,000 each for outstanding journalism.
Voiceless, the animal protection institute, is stunned that once again animal welfare has been pushed aside by those in a position to enact real and meaningful change, who instead continue to focus on silencing advocates and stifling transparency.
