Sarah has been with Voiceless since 2013, working in the legal team on policy reform, campaigns, research and education. She now serves as Legal Counsel, and as of 2017, will also be undertaking a position as Animal Law & Education Manager. Sarah co-authored the Voiceless Animal Law Toolkit (2nd edition, 2015), and is a frequent guest-lecturer on animal law at universities.
With a lifelong passion for animal protection, Sarah has dedicated her study and work to the movement. In undertaking her Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of International Studies at the University of New South Wales, she created extra animal law units and completed an extended legal thesis on animal rights, and as Co-Secretary of the NSW Young Lawyers’ Animal Law Committee, she revised and edited the Guide to Companion Animal Law in NSW (2nd edition, 2014). She also serves as a mentor for law students with an interest in animal protection and social justice at Sydney University, and has been actively involved with a number of animal protection agencies.
