Naomi Simson is an entrepreneur and founder of RedBalloon, a hugely successful gift website.
Now one of Australia and New Zealand's most successful online businesses, Naomi started RedBalloon from her home in 2001 along with her dog Dexter. She was the 2011 national winner of the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award and the winner of the 2008 national Telstra Business Women’s Awards for Innovation. RedBalloon has also been voted as one of Australia’s Best Places to Work by BRW every year since 2009.
Naomi is also a passionate philanthropist and has leveraged her business success to create RedBalloon ‘We Care’ in order to fund charity and volunteer work. She also draws on her experience and success to inspire and motivate others through regular professional speaking engagements, a blog and a column on Smart Company. Her first book published in 2007 is titled I’ll Have What She’s Having.
Joining the Voiceless Council is a natural extension of her passion for sharing knowledge and spreading the word about the need for greater animal protection.
