Craig Waddell
Craig Waddell who was born in 1973 has been exhibiting since 1998 and his work has been shown widely throughout Australia and Asia. He holds a Bachelor of Fine Art from the National Art School and a Master of Printmaking from Chiang Mai University, Thailand.
He has been a finalist in many of the key painting prizes in Australia including the Mosman Art Prize, the Doug Moran Portrait Prize, the Archibald Prize, the Dobell Drawing Prize and the Wynne Prize. One of his iconic rooster paintings – part of an ongoing series about character and masculinity – recently won the Client Choice Award in the 2011 RBS art prize.
