Sean Ryan
Sean is Senior Climate Change Solicitor at the Environmental Defenders Office (EDO), Queensland.
He is a specialist planning and environment lawyer with degrees in both Law and Environmental Science and a Masters in Environmental Law from University of Queensland.
Sean worked for government departments and private consultancy before entering private law practice with Corrs Chambers Westgarth, where he practiced for 6 years and attained the position of senior associate.
Having worked for all levels of government and a range of industries on wide ranging environmental issues, Sean brings a broad perspective to assisting the community and public interest at the EDO.
In addition to assisting with the general functions of the EDO, Sean focusses on climate change related litigation, education and law reform.
Through his role at the EDO Qld Sean maintains an interest and involvement in the protection of native wildlife, including kangaroos, koalas and flying foxes.
