Kangaroos are a valuable resource

I agree with Rosie, regular population surveys from the 1970's onwards have shown conclusively that kangaroo populations are healthy, not in decline at all and are in 
fact flourishing,the supposed threat from 
harvesting is exaggerated or misguided. The kangaroo industry is ecologically sustainable and the most humane meat industry in Australia. If people think that a shot to the head at night is cruel to kangaroos, how is starving kangaroos during drought and continued heavy reliance on hard hoofed domestic stock a better situation?
