From Nest to Nugget

Avant Cards will be distributing 10,000 of these cards (as above) across Australia to help Voiceless raise awareness of the plight of meat chickens.

More than 450 millions meat chickens are slaughtered every year in Australia.

Most of these birds are factory farmed which means they are denied some of their most fundamental behaviours, such as roosting, perching and nurturing their young.

They are permanently confined indoors and subjected to hours on end of artificial light. Killed at just over a month old (rather than living a natural 5-7 years lifespan) they are grown as fast and as cheap as possible to meet Australians' increasing appetite for fast food.

With your help, we can take action for chickens.
