In an exciting development for the Australian animal law movement, the very first edition of the Australian Animal Law Protection Journal (AALPJ) has just been launched! The AALPJ, which is the result of a 2007 Voiceless Grants Project initiated by NSW Barrister, John Mancy, contains a selection of thought-provoking articles by leading members of the Australian animal law community. The first volume gives a great overview of a number of pressing issues in the social justice movement that is animal protection. Follow this link to read an article on battery hen farming and the law written by Voiceless’s own Katrina Sharman.
