Lawyers for Animals
Lawyers for Animals is a not-for-profit organisation which seeks to provide practical, legal-oriented education on animal welfare matters to government, the animal industry and the public. Lawyers for Animals believes that the reduction and elimination of animal suffering is most likely to be achieved through law reform and education; and that lawyers have a special obligation to share their legal understanding and thus promote public engagement in animal welfare matters.

Membership of Lawyers for Animals is open to all persons (lawyers and non-lawyers) who are interested in supporting it. However, executive positions are limited to duly admitted legal practitioners. Lawyers for Animals’ volunteer program offers members the choice to become involved (if they wish) at a practical level, in the work of the organisation.
