Important additional information:Tax Non-profit organisations are not required to have Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR) status but are required to have Tax Concession Charity (TCC) or be incorporated or constituted with a constitution or trust deed setting out their objectives and rules, ensuring that no profits are shared among members of the organisation, and that surplus funds are used solely to further the organisation's objectives. GST All grant funds constitute a gift and are not consideration for a taxable supply. Payments Any grants of $10,000 or over, will be paid in two instalments. The second instalment will be paid after a progress report has been presented and found to be satisfactory to Voiceless. Voiceless reserves the right to withhold or discontinue the payment of any second instalment if: the applicant fails to provide a progress report in a form satisfactory to Voiceless; or upon review of the progress report, Voiceless determines that progress of the approved project is unsatisfactory. Judging The selection of successful applicants and the allocation of grants (including the amounts awarded) will be determined by Voiceless at its absolute discretion. Voiceless reserves the right to reject any application for any reason whatsoever and is not required to provide unsuccessful applicants with any reasons for such rejection. Submitted material will not be returned unless specifically requested in the application. Privacy Where Voiceless receives applications, Voiceless may collect and maintain personal information about the applicants, including individuals associated with the applicants in accordance with its Privacy Policy. In applying for a Voiceless grant, all individuals associated with the applicant consent to Voiceless collecting their personal information and to receiving Voiceless newsletters and other email correspondence from Voiceless until they specify otherwise. Voiceless may make public the details of each successful applicant, the amount of the grant awarded to each successful applicant and the details of each successful applicant’s project. Legal All projects undertaken by any successful applicant must be for proper and lawful purposes in accordance with the proposed objectives and activities outlined in the relevant applicant’s Grant Application as submitted to Voiceless. To the fullest extent permitted by law, neither Voiceless nor its affiliates will be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special and/or consequential damages or loss of profits whatsoever (including but not limited to any act, omission or negligence on the part of Voiceless) for any purpose for which a grant is used by applicants. While Voiceless may contribute funds to a particular project, it takes no responsibility for the content of any advertisement or material published by any successful applicant. Terms and Conditions The criteria set out above do not represent the entirety of the terms and conditions attaching to the award of a grant from Voiceless. Lodging of a grant application constitutes acceptance of the above criteria. Finalisation of the grant may be contingent upon the acceptance of additional terms and conditions which may be provided to successful grant applicants following the completion of the judging process. |
