People's Choice! Award 2007 Print E-mail

Voiceless added an exciting new initiative to its Grants Program in 2007, the inaugural People's Choice! Award.

As part of its Grants Program each year, Voiceless will now be awarding a $10,000 grant to a project voted on by members of the public. The funding for the People’s Choice! comes from donations received by Voiceless from our supporters.

Thank you to everyone who voted for the 2007 People's Choice! and made your voice heard.

The People's Choice! winner for 2007 is:

People Against Cruelty in Animal Transport

People Against Cruelty in Animal Transport have received $10,000 for their 'Live Export Myths' Billboard Campaign which aims to increase knowledge about the live export industry operating from Australia. The billboards are intended to drive people to the PACAT website where further information about the campaign will be presented.

Grant amount: $10,000

Website: http://www.pacat.org/

Because all of the projects that were in the running for the 2007 People's Choice! were such worthy candidates, Voiceless has also awarded a $1,000 donation to each of the three runners-up - Animal Liberation Queensland, Edgar's Mission and The Wombat Protection Society.

Thank you to all the wonderful Voiceless supporters who helped to make the 2007 People's Choice! a reality. If you would like to make a contribution towards the 2008 People's Choice! please find out how by visiting our support page.
