The grant from Voiceless will enable a humane education educator’s website & network to be created. The website and network will provide teachers and parents with resources and assistance for educating students about animal protection issues.

No Rodeo, SA |

Voiceless will provide general support for No Rodeo. No Rodeo aims to ban all rodeos in SA firstly, then nationwide. The organisation operates through letterboxing & doorknocking, monitoring & documenting all SA rodeos, providing information through their website and distribution of their DVD’s, lobbying politicians, and working with the media.

People Against Cruelty in Animal Transport, WA |

The funds from the Voiceless grant will support a major PR campaign exposing the myths of the live export trade, focusing on the transport of sheep in ships from Fremantle to the Middle East. A series of print ads exposing the myths will be run in Western Australian newspapers.

The Voiceless grant will enable the commissioning of young radio makers to engage & educate a broad audience, particularly youth, by using community media. A series of radio documentaries and community service announcements based on animal protection issues will be broadcast nationally on the community radio satellite. Regular on-air interviews & segments, promoting animal protection issues will also be broadcast.

Tasmanian Conservation Trust, TAS |

Voiceless will provide general support to the Tasmanian Conservation Trust. The group aims to set up a separate website to enhance the effectiveness of the groups and individuals who are fighting many separate battles across Tasmania to stop the slaughter of native wildlife through 1080 poisoning, hunting and the destruction of habitat.
