The Canberra Times: Forum

"Factory farming is abuse, degrading to all sentient beings including humans." Brian and Ondine Sherman, founders of the Voiceless organisation, implore Australians to extend their kindness and compassion to embrace the demand for better treatment of animals farmed for food.

"Animals are not objects purely for our utility", they point out. "The reform of laws that regulate the treatment of factory-farmed animals must be demanded from our politicians and corporations, but it must first be felt in our minds, spirits and hearts."
