Sydney Morning Herald - Money
by Lucinda Schmidt

He's made his millions and now Brian Sherman is speaking for those without voices.

In June Brian Sherman celebrates 30 years in Australia, after arriving from South Africa with his wife, Gene, two preschool children, an accounting degree and $5200.  He's now worth about $185 million after selling his EquitiLink Funds Management business in 2000, 19 years after he started it at the kitchen table with fellow South African Laurence Freedman, Gene's cousin.
