UNSW Faculty of Law Alumni News, No.2 2005 Thousands and thousands of debeaked hens, all confined in wire cages, most with less than an A4 size piece of paper to move around in, living out their lives as egg producers in the absence of natural light, with every aspect of their existence controlled and regulated, all within legal regulations.
