Officially launched today, the Peace with Earth 2008 edition ceramic olive oil decanter has been created due to a unique collaboration between Oliveria, Spacecraft and Voiceless, the fund for animals.

Now in its third year, Peace with Earth was conceived by Oliveria as an annual project to promote awareness of important charitable initiatives. The elegant 2008 design and informative packaging engage consumers, encouraging them to become more aware of modern farming practices and to embrace the current trend towards ethical eating.

Voiceless, the fund for animals, today announced its latest initiative, Voiceless Animal Advocates (VAA). VAA is a national network of university student societies which aims to increase awareness of the conditions in which animals live and to empower students to take action to protect animals from suffering.

Australian taxpayers may be forced to foot the bill for legal action taken against those that speak out against animal suffering and other public interest matters, under legislation introduced to Parliament late last week.

Internationally acclaimed animal protection advocate, author and lecturer on animal law, Professor Steven M Wise will deliver the inaugural lecture in the University of New South Wales / Voiceless animal law lecture series.
